Description
Please download full version.I am using an Old English poem ( also titled "The Wanderer" ) later edited by Peter Jackson for The Lord of The Rings as an inspiration for the mood:
"Where is the horse and rider? Where is the horn that was blowing?
They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow.
The days have gone down in the West, behind the hills into shadow.
How did it come to this?"
To get that soft milky finish I used a colour layering method very similar to glazing in traditional oil painting. It was very tricky to apply but I trust it was worth it.
Here I have link to the WIP:

Hope you like.

Some fog elements in front of her body are working against this as well, cutting her in half and breaking her silhouette (which would otherwise direct us to birds nicely). Maybe it would help if there was better focus in her body and in those plants next to birds and that would kinda direct the viewer. So the main elements like birds and head work very well, now just bring the whole image to the same level : )
